“Feds Feed Families” – an opportunity to help

feds-feeds-families“Feds Feed Families” is a voluntary effort undertaken by Federal employees across the country, who take time outside of their workday to collect and donate food and nonperishable items for those in need.

This year’s campaign is being led nationally by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and will run from 1 June 2013 through 31 August 2013.  Civilian Federal Agencies on Guam are encouraged to take part by collecting canned meats; canned vegetables, canned soups, canned fruits and canned meals at their place of work.  The items can then be donated to local food banks such as Kamalen Karidat or the Salvation Army.

If you choose to participate, the Hawaii-Pacific Federal Executive Board encourages you to report the donations to them using this form:  Feds Feed Families Report Form.
